Case Studies Structural Basement Conversion in Golcar.

Our client was really struggling for height in the basement so we had to dig down, below foundation level. So we had to get a design commissioned from a structural engineer. He recommended a Dwarf wall section which meant, steel mesh in the floor and going up the walls for extra support to hold the foundations back.

We cast a concrete floor, shuttered the walls back for concreting the walls, to make everything structural sound.

From then on, just a standard conversion to building regulations, including an on suite bathroom, small utility room and bedroom. Our client was delighted with results.
